Bay Springs, Heidelberg split

The Bay Springs girls continued their dominance over Jasper County rival Heidelberg with a 65-51 win over the Lady Oilers.
Bay Springs broke open a tied game at the half with a 21-8 third period to cruise to the win.
Heidelberg (6-3) was led by Katina Fowler with 18 points while Jessica Yates added 16. Princess Bender chipped in 11.
Heidelberg boys 83, Bay Springs 51: The host Oilers jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead and never looked back as they bettered Bay Springs by 32 points.
Micheal Pierce led a balanced Heidelberg scoring attack with 24 points while Derrick Turner had 17, Fred Stephens 14. Lee Jones chipped in 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Jason Forte led Bay Springs with 20 points while Henry Curry had 13.
Rebul girls 42, Sylva-Bay 38: Rebul outscored Sylva-Bay 12-4 in the second quarter and held on for the four-point win Saturday night.
Kattye Tubb led Sylva-Bay with 13 points while Amber Carlisle added 10 and Lauren Husbands eight.
Eva Hood led Rebul with 15 points while Rachel Sullivan and Morgan Womack had 10 apiece.
Sylva-Bay boys 59, Rebul 44: Sylva-Bay used a 16-8 advantage in the second quarter as the Saints ran by Rebul by 15.
After trailing 12-9 after the first, the Saints led 25-20 at the half. Sylva-Bay extended the lead in the second half by outscoring Rebul 34-24.
Kaleb Dees led all scorers with 17 points while Andres Norvel had 15 and Justin Smith 14.
Enterprise boys 67, Morton 62: Enterprise held Morton to eight first-half points and held on in the second half for the five-point win.
Enterprise, 3-3, was led by Cory Boggan's 33 points while Burrell Gandy chipped in 16. Bryan Bester added six.
Todd Butler led Morton with 16 points while Elijah McDonald had 15 and Andrew Lewis 11.
Sumter Academy 44, Morgan Academy 28: Sumter broke open a tight contest in the second quarter to cruise to the win.
Sumter Academy, 3-1, was led by Amanda Chambliss who had 13 points and nine rebounds. Jess Watkins added 11 points and six rebounds while Katie McGough had eight points and six rebounds.
