UNION Services for James C. "Buddy" Smith were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Roger Laird and Harold Laird officiating. Burial was in Bethsaida Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 78, of Union, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in Meridian. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Smith of Union; two daughters, Marlene Hinton and her husband, Pete, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Dewanda Page and her husband, Jimmy Dale, of Union; two sisters, Elma Warren and Jewell Allday, both of Union; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

UNION Services for James M. Sessums will be held today at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Dr. Marcus Finch and Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will be in Lucern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Sessums, 61, of Union, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, James Dell Sessums of Union and Chris Sessums of Crystal Springs; a daughter Leisa Sessums of Ellisville; four sisters, Mary Jewel Page, Louise Roebuck and Senna Nell Moorehead, all of Union, and Annie Ruth Ladd of Taylorsville.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Maurine T. Punko will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Souenlovie Cemetery, with the Rev. Parker Chancelor officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Punko, 75, of Rose Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Lakeside Living Center.
Survivors include her husband, John Punko, and a sister, Ruth Chatham, both of Rose Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the graveside Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Services for Thomas L. Morgan Sr. will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jason Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Morgan, 87, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in his home. He was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, and the Daisy Chain and Shooting Stars Square Dance Clubs. He was also a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Anderson Morgan of Meridian; his children, Tommie Sue Slade of Umatilla, Fla., Glenda Faye Morgan of Fresno, Calif. and Richard Morgan of Clinton; a sister, Louise Anders of Meridian; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lamar Morgan Jr.; and a grandson, Thomas Lamar Morgan III.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Morgan, Kenny Hill, Billy Anders, Wayne Anders, Kevin Thrash and Rayford Noland.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Mildred Thompson Adams will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brewersville Cemetery in Coatopa, with the Revs. Jim DuFriend and W.J. Cannon officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Adams, 85, of Livingston, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Demopolis.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Dash Adams Sr.; a sister, Vera Darden of Opelika; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Buck Adams.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Leah McCullough of Meridian; his children, Melinda Madden, Matthew McCullough, Dwayne McCullough, Cyndle McCullough, Jeannie Marie Smith, Daniel Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Brad Myers, Kim Myers and Karen McCullough; three brothers, Leroy McCullough of Philadelphia, Charles McCullough of Clinton and Joe McCullough of Morton; four sisters, Bernadette Johnson of Wilmington, N.C., Patricia Vincent of Belzoni, Patsy Lang of Belzoni and Jeannie Moss of Lena; six grandchildren, Brittney Armstrong, Jarod Armstrong, Brook Armstrong, Madison Madden, Devon McCullough and Allisa McCullough; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
