    OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, DEC. 2, 2000

    EVERETT LAMAR FISHER
    Retired railroad employee
    Services for Everett Lamar Fisher will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with the Revs. Alan Randall, Lannis May and Gerald Chaney. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Fisher, 63, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in the Zero community. He was a retired railroad employee, having worked for GM&O Railway and Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
    Survivors include his wife, Drucille Faulkner Fisher, of Zero; four sons, Gavin Fisher and his wife, Mary, Dwayne Fisher and his wife, Cathy, Randy Fisher and his wife, Karen and Ronald Allan Fisher and his wife, Wendy, all of Zero; a brother, Eugene Fisher and his wife, Sara, of Zero; three sisters, Margarite Pickard, Janie Hagwood and Helen Mitchell and her husband, Leo, all of Zero; a brother-in-law, Wayne Boardman of Meridian; six grandchildren, Robby Fisher, Patrick Fisher, Kristin Fisher, Kaylan Fisher, Josh Webb and Dusty Webb; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillan Boardman; his parents, Robert and Sarah Fisher; and two nephews, Paul Pickard and Barry Pickard.
    The family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
    Pallbearers include Leo Howard, Greg Boardman, Michael Faulkner, Danny Davis, Bobby Hagwood, Van Hagwood, Perry Mitchell, Jimmy Irby and Robert Fisher. Honorary pallbearers will be the mechanical department of Norfolk Southern Railroad.
    BILLY RAY COVINGTON
    Attorney
    A memorial service for Billy Ray Covington will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Bonita Methodist Church in Meridian.
    Mr. Covington, 68, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the Alvin C. York Veteran's Administration Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
    Mr. Covington was born, reared and attended schools in Meridian. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a former City of Meridian prosecuting attorney and a former county attorney for Lauderdale County. Mr. Covington served as a member of the Mississippi Fish and Game Commission having been appointed by Governor John Bell Williams.
    Survivors include his mother, Allie Ward Covington of Meridian; three daughters, Kim Covington and Laura Covington Lawson, both of Meridian, and Paula Covington Hawkins of Indiana; and a son, William Morris Covington of Meridian. In addition, Mr. Covington is survived by a special friend, Margaret Diane Sneed of Bryant, Ala.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Covington.
    The family requests memorials be made to Bonita Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
    WILLIAM EDWARD ANDERSON
    Retired law enforcement dispatcher
    QUITMAN Services for William Edward Anderson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Stateline Methodist Church with the Rev. Bernice Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Anderson, 86, of Quitman, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
    Survivors include a son, Rufus Chancellor and his wife, Faye, of Quitman; two brothers, Wiley C. Anderson of El Paso, Texas, and Jessie F. Anderson of Mobile, Ala.; and a sister, Sally E. Morgan of Meridian.
    Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and Sunday from 1 p.m. until services at the church.
    FREDRICK RONALD ROBERTS II
    Services for Fredrick Ronald Roberts II will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mr. Roberts, 35, of Southhaven, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Memphis, Tenn.
    Survivors include his parents, Fredrick and Pegi Roberts of Southhaven; a brother, Michael Roberts of Southhaven; and a sister, Veronica Carpenter of Madison.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    MARY COHEA BREAZEALE TAYLOR
    Retired General Motors employee
    Services for Mary Cohea Breazeale Taylor will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lanney Avis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Taylor, 70, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at her residence. She was retired from General Motors. She was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
    Survivors include her husband, Walter B. Taylor of Meridian; six daughters, Bettie Sue Jernigan of Georgia, Rita Reed Jones, Angela Reed Hill and Vernice Carter, all of Alabama, Jessica Hutchinson of Louisiana, and Stephanie Breazeale Freeman of Mississippi; a son, Curtis Gene Rees of Arkansas; two brothers, J.C. Cohea of Mississippi and Cecil Cohea of Georgia, a sister, Delores Rodgers of Mississippi; an aunt, Kate Cohea of Mississippi; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and many caring friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, James Colin Cohea and Vernice Delores Minafore Cohea.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers include Larry Almand, Van McWhorter, Tommy Sides, Tom Connell, Ron Mason, Rama Konner and Abdul Lala.
